Memory

MEMORY

The power or process of reproducing or recalling what has been learned and retained. 2. The store of things learned or retained.

"We do what we know, and what we know is what we remember."

Good routines establish good behaviors.

Good behavior is fertile ground for learning.

"Repetition is the key to learning."

1. It is important to purposely create good memories.

2. The more memories we create, the more influence we have in the lives of others, good or bad.

3. The stronger the connection with past knowledge, the greater the memory.

4. The more sense (touch, taste, etc.) is involved, the stronger the memory.

5. We have understanding when new information is connected to current knowledge - memory.

6. Rehearsal (re-hear) reinforces memory.

If we rehearse God’s Word in their ears, it will create memories that affect their lives.

Rehearsal = Remembrance

"And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

Deut. 6:7
