Commitment

COMMITMENT

An act of committing to a charge or trust, or an agreement or pledge to do something in the future

Commitment is healthiest when it's not without doubt, but in spite of doubt

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:"

Paul the Apostle

"Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Psa 37:5

  • The foundation of commitment is Faith constrained by Love.

  • Commitment is tested in the fire of adversity.

  • Every commitment brings its legion of nay-sayers.

  • A commitment is not changed by circumstance or time.

  • Pride (selfishness) is the mortal enemy of commitment.

  • Pleasure-seekers will shun commitment.

  • Everyone is committed to someone - Self, Others, or God.

  • The depth of your commitment to the things of God is a reflection of your commitment to God.
