"I'm a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." -Thomas Jefferson

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." -Helen Keller

"Opportunity is missed by most because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." -Thomas Alva Edison

"The greatest part of our happiness depends on our dispositions, not our circumstances." -Martha Washington

"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

Prov. 4:23

  • Our attitude towards any given thing reveals our position and defines who we are.

  • Our actions may mask what we are, but our attitudes give us away.

  • Our attitudes either benefit or betray us.

  • Our attitude changes for better or for worse depending upon the information we choose to feed it.

Paradox:

We gravitate towards relationships with similar attitudes...

Relationships have the power to change attitudes.

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." - 1 John 1:7
